Can I counter sue this guy?

On May 4th I was involved in a head on automobile accident. It was foggy the morning of the accident, and I was making a left hand turn, of which i had made a stop to make the turn. I do not remember the accident itself, but the guy who hit me had a 40 foot skid mark to my 3 foot skid mark. But because I was turning left, i received the ticket for failure to yield. Now, I spent 7 weeks in the hospital with a fractured hip, fractured heel, concussion, open surgery site and severely sprained foot. I now am also suffering from what is called 'dead foot', which means I have no use of my foot. He walked away from the accident, and is now suing because his back and neck hurt.
