Mailing a job application?

Im 16 yrs old and I was looking in our local shopper paper and saw a hotel restaurant that was hiring so I went online where they had printable applications. I printed one out and filled it. I decided to mail it to the place instead of dropping it off b/c I might have felt a little awkward being unfamiliar with the place. Do you think this was okay to do I am nervous they won't get it or something or be mad that the app. is folded....
