My niece is VERY protective over her body...either someone has TAUGHT her ...or someone has...bothered her..?

I would maybe ask her subtle questions. Say earlier when I was tickling you you said not to touch you there. Who taught you that? If she clams up about it call CPS. Because at the age of 6 that is very worrying a child would respond that way.
