When someone has undermined you, what do you do?

This has happened to me before. I usually give people a few chances but, after someone shows me they are continuously going to undermine me, I will most likely not tell them. I wouldn't have much to do with them after that. I can usually tell if someones intentions are bad but, if I'm not sure I will try and give them the benefit of the doubt.
