What to do..?

my husband is very eager for us to have a baby, we have been trying for about a year now with no luck yet. I sense that he is getting desperate. We've had ourselves checked & everything's fine. I keep telling him that if it's mean to be, we'll have one. Can you tell me what I can do to boost our chances of conceiving? Also, what can I tell him to alleviate his desperation?
