Why does the US Army use the same eagle emblem as Adolf Hitler's nazi empire?

Hate to break the news to you, but the U.S. has been using the eagle emblem since 1782. Nazis didn't rise to power in Germany until 1933. Now using simple math, let's figure out which came first. America using the eagle emblem in 1782, or Nazi's using it in 1933.
